Comcast Spectacular - Tinseltown Skating Rink

"Innovation & Value Engineering"

Challenge:

The new ice skating trail was planned for an uneven grass field with approximately six feet of elevation change. The original rink layout also exceeded the available space, and the project's budget could not support the cost of traditional excavation, grading, and sand installation.

Solution:
VaceTime evaluated the site and recommended a more efficient approach. We re-engineered the rink's zero point so it would fit within the available footprint, completed the necessary excavation and grading to create a level skating surface, and proposed using rock screenings in place of sand—a solution that reduced installation costs while providing a more stable base and improved thermal performance for the ice.

Result:

Every recommendation was approved by Comcast Spectacor. The project was completed under budget, the skating rink was installed in just 3 days instead of the 14 days originally scheduled, and the rock screenings were later recycled throughout Philadelphia parks to improve public spaces—reducing waste while extending the value of the project.

ARC National Construction - Hilco Redevelopment Project

"Large Scale Installation"

Challenge:

A newly constructed commercial warehouse required a large-scale landscape installation completed with precision to meet project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

Solution:VaceTime provided comprehensive landscape installation services, installing over 176,370 pounds of decorative stone and 1,250 linear feet of edging to create clean, durable, and professionally finished landscape beds throughout the development.

Result:

The project was completed with precision, helping deliver a polished commercial site ready for occupancy. Our attention to detail, reliable execution, and ability to perform at scale demonstrated VaceTime's capability to support complex commercial construction projects.

Skelly and Loy, INC. - Valley Green Run Bridge Restoration

"Environmental Restoration"

Challenge:

An environmentally sensitive bridge restoration project required landscape installation that met strict ecological specifications while supporting the long-term restoration of the surrounding natural environment.

Solution:
VaceTime partnered with the project team to install more than 250 native shrubs, carefully following restoration plans and coordinating with engineering oversight to ensure every installation met project and environmental requirements.

Result:
The project was successfully completed in compliance with restoration specifications, contributing to the long-term stabilization and ecological recovery of the site. The work demonstrated VaceTime's ability to perform with precision on environmentally sensitive infrastructure projects where quality, coordination, and attention to detail are essential.

Tester Construction Group - Blumberg Apartments

"Multifamily Development"

Challenge:

A 36-home multifamily development required final grading, seeding, and landscape installation while construction was still underway. As homes sold faster than anticipated, residents were moving in while other buildings remained under construction, creating a constantly changing schedule and tight turnover deadlines.

Solution:

VaceTime coordinated closely with Tester Construction Group to adapt to the evolving construction schedule, completing each home's grading and landscape work as soon as interior construction allowed. We also recommended installing sod at select homes to improve staging, create a more polished presentation, and enhance the developer's sales efforts. In addition, our team installed more than 20 trees throughout the community.

Result:

Through proactive communication, flexible scheduling, and reliable execution, every home was completed ahead of schedule and ready for its new residents. The project demonstrated VaceTime's ability to coordinate with active construction sites, adapt to changing timelines, and deliver high-quality results that support successful residential developments.
